The trackday is organised by splitting the cars up into 3 groups and each group gets roughly 20 mins of tracktime every hour. Richard Foster, a chap from the owners club, organised one whole group of just mx5's, while the other two groups consisted of some mx5's, Cosworths, Caterhams, Westfields, Elises, etc. We were driving on the full Grand Prix circuit, which includes the excellent Melbourne Loop.
Being in the mx5 only group was very good - you are surrounded by other club owners who aren't absolute nutters. Some of the cars in the other groups were quite aggressive and several near misses occured and one chap stuffed his Integra into a tyre wall:
Apart from that, there wasn't really any other major incidents. A Rover poured oil over the circuit at one point, but nothing serious :o)
